In 1999, I founded a digital agency called The Nova Group. “Nova” was my pseudonym as a electronic music producer, so naturally, I carried it over into my professional life. Starting with zero clients and a staff of two, I grew the company by working with brands that weren’t afraid to operate their business like the big guys. Today, The Nova Group has five offices in Israel and Australia with more than 12,500 clients.

From the very beginning, I knew that I wanted the Nova Group to operate unlike any other agency. As an expatriate trying to run an underfunded startup, I had quite a few hoops to jump through. But what ensured my success was enforcing three fundamental principles.

The first being a strong focus on the quality and diversity of my staff. The second being the quality of my clients. And the third was my strong belief in the brands I was working with. I knew that every ad was part of the long-term investment into the brand’s identity. And I was willing to do anything to help my clients achieve that level of strength. We practised what we preached, and 18 years later, The Nova Group has helped build some of the most recognisable brands in the world like FIFA & GNC.

My experience in paid media led me to data mining, social monitoring and content aggregation. Utilising this new technology, Turbamedia.io was born, Turba Media delivers future-tech data visualisation and management, business intelligence, and behavioural science analytics to provide empowered decision-making, clearly defined strategic brand direction, and the connection to global cultural capital.
